A Winter harvest of Celtic theater, music, poetry and dance

Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the "darker half" of the year. Most commonly it is held on 31 October – 1 November, or halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. Along with Imbolc, Beltane and Lughnasadh it makes up the four Gaelic seasonal festivals. It was observed in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. Kindred festivals
were held at the same time of year in other Celtic lands; for example the Brythonic Calan Gaeaf (in Wales), Kalan Gwav (in Cornwall) and Kalan Goañv (in Brittany).

Marie Lalá

Swedish singer Marie Lalá comes tio Samnain 2014 with her creative and colourful vocals and performance on the Samhain stage.

John Mitchell & Sofie Jonsson

Looking forward to hearing Sofia's fiery fiddle with close and heart-felt harmonies, and the superb song-writing and skilful guitar playing of John. This combination promises to create a sparkling live show.

The Irish Dance Project have also been confirmed for The Samhain 2014. These fantastically talented and creative Irish Dancers will be gracing The Samhain stage on Friday October 31st.

Brian Burns will complete the musical line up for this years The Samhain Celtic Festival 2014. Brian who is a man of many talents and the brainchild behind the entire concept of The Samhain Celtic Festival. He will also be hosting the event on the night.
